Breath of Life
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

Simon Gosling, PACT. Mbl. 022 0217076

"Within the cerebrospinal fluid there is an invisible element that I refer to as the 'Breath of Life'. I want you to visualise the Breath of Life as a fluid within the fluid, something that does not mix, something that has potency as the thing that makes it move".
William Garner Sutherland

About Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy

ABOUT YOUR SESSION

Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle therapy where the practitioner's hands 'float' on the body. This is usually done on a treatment table, fully clothed. You don't have to keep quiet during the treatment as feedback enhances the process. The therapist will negotiate levels of touch and help you to focus your attention on your body's subtle communication.

Although the touch is very light, there may be releases of past trauma or shock, realisations of the effects of ones actions and a reconnection to your intrinsic healthy peaceful nature.

A treatment is a gentle 'nudge' in the direction of greater health. The body usually takes up to 3 days to integrate the changes that have happened, during which time it is good to be gentle with oneself.

The treatment has a natural course dictated by the body's health and once completed clients are brought gently back into relationship with their environment.

The number of treatments you will need is dependant on the nature of your healing process. The therapist will discuss this with you, leaving the decision up to you. As your body responds there is less need for regular treatment, although clients often see the work as good for maintenance of their intrinsic health.

I have seen Craniosacral Therapy help individuals live their lives more fully. Letting go of unnecessary stress levels allows us to experience greater quality of life.

About Me

My interest in natural healing was sparked at an early age having a family GP who diagnosed with his hands. My study led me to meditation and bodywork. I have been a complimentary health therapist since 1987 and a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist since 1995. This comes from my belief that the patient's Health is what I help to enhance and work in harmony with acknowledging that we are all unique and individual.

I studied with Franklyn Sills at the Karuna Institute in Devon, UK where I became Franklyn's personal assistant for 5 years during the formation of the biodynamic approach, assisting Franklyn on many advanced courses. At this time I also tutored with the CTET. I have taught in New Zealand, Australia, UK, Spain, Canada, South Africa, Hong Kong, Malaysia and India.

I now have a busy practice in Auckland, New Zealand and am a senior tutor with Body Intelligence Training, I also teach Advanced Courses to other Biodynamic practitioners
